Despite the growing popularity of retail trading in India, most apps remained:

Too Complex: Overwhelming for new traders with complex interfaces and jargon.

Data-Heavy: Presenting raw data without actionable insights or context.

Cluttered UI: Overwhelming first-time investors with too much information at once.

Lack of Personalization: No trust-building features or personalized experiences.

Stock Note Opportunity: Samco wanted to stand out by creating a Stock Note Trading App that delivers bite-sized, contextual insights.

We established clear objectives for the Stock Note Trading App:

✅ Simplify Trading Experience: Make trading accessible for first-time and casual investors.

✅ Stock Note Format: Present stock market data in a digestible, narrative format.

✅ Build Trust: Create a trustworthy, transparent interface that users can rely on.

✅ Fast Execution: Enable fast, low-friction execution of trades.

✅ Scalable Design System: Create a foundation for future product expansion.

We identified three primary user personas:

👩‍💻 The Beginner Investor (Age 22–30) Little to no market knowledge.
Wants simple guidance and trustworthy insights.
Motivated by FOMO and peer influence.

👨‍💼 The Aspiring Trader (Age 28–40) Familiar with stocks but struggles with information overload.
Wants actionable insights instead of raw data.
Prefers mobile-first, fast execution.

👴 The Seasoned Investor (Age 40+) Experienced in markets but values quick summaries.
Seeks reliability and efficient execution.
Less tolerant of clutter and jargon.

We followed a comprehensive design process:

🔍 Research & Discovery Competitor audit of Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, and international apps like Robinhood.
User interviews with 20+ retail investors.
Key Insight: Users prefer actionable insights > raw numbers.

📝 Defining the Experience Created journey maps for onboarding, exploring stock notes, and placing trades.
Defined content structure for stock notes (summary, risk factors, quick call-to-action).

🎨 Wireframes & Prototypes Built low-fidelity sketches → mid-fidelity wireframes → interactive Figma prototypes.
